Texbook is a free Kâ12 Math learning app for students in Cambodia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Texbook does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number. To remember your learning progress on your device, we store a randomly generated anonymous device identifier locally on your device.
The anonymous device identifier is used to save and restore your learning progress (for example, quiz results and lessons viewed) and, in the mobile app, to group crash reports that come from the same device (see section 3). We do not use it to identify you personally.
The Texbook mobile app for Android and iOS uses Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google, to tell us when the app crashes or runs into an error so that we can fix it. The website version of Texbook does not use crash reporting.
When the app crashes or encounters an error, a report is sent to Google containing:
These reports never contain your name, email address, phone number, location, or the contents of your quiz answers. The identifiers are random values that are not linked to you as a person. We use crash reports only to find and fix problems in the app, and we do not use them for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
Crash reports are processed and stored by Google on our behalf. Google retains them for a limited period (currently 90 days for crash details) in accordance with the Firebase Privacy and Security policy.
We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data. Apart from the anonymous crash reports described in section 3, we do not send any information about you to third parties. We do not track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes.
Some lessons include videos embedded from YouTube. When you watch an embedded video, YouTube may collect data in accordance with its own privacy policy. We embed videos using privacy-enhanced settings where available.
Texbook is intended for students, including children. Because we do not collect personal information, no personally identifiable data about children is gathered or stored. Crash reports contain only the anonymous technical information described in section 3.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
